What is Performance Verification Testing (PVT)?
PVT is a multistep process during which our expert teams review the overall health of your solar system using the thousands of data points ingested by our proprietary technology. We then monitor your system to ensure 30 days of healthy operation and to verify that it is producing the expected amount of energy. A few of the things we look at during PVT are:
- Communication: Consistent communication between your system and our technology allows our team to detect and quickly address unexpected outages or component failures.
- System Assessment: We verify that all of your system’s components are powered and operational. Installation errors and faulty components are uncommon, but when they happen, we catch them early and coordinate a resolution.
- Energy Verification: Your system was designed to generate the amount of energy that best meets your needs. We check your system’s real-life energy generation against the expected energy output.
If we find anything unusual during PVT, we will work with your installer to resolve any issues and ensure that your solar journey starts with a solid foundation. The result: third-party validation and peace of mind that your system is operating at optimal performance.
